Garmin gWind ™ Race Wind Indicator: Displays detailed information on the direction and speed of the real / apparent wind. At a height of 1m, the carbon mast allows the wind vane to be raised relative to the mast head and to avoid disturbances. Supplied with GND 10 allowing to interface the wind vane with the NMEA 2000 network or with a PC.
Designed for regatta sailboats, the gWind Race is delivered on a carbon fiber mast with a height of one meter allowing the wind vane to be raised relative to the mast of the boat in order to limit the turbulence caused by the flow of the air on the sail. The wind vane has an innovative and exclusive design for top performance. Its double fin design and its 3-blade propeller ensure excellent performance in all wind conditions. The double jibe ensures greater wind stability while the 3-blade propeller anemometer - still effective - offers greater precision even in light winds. The reading of the speed information is ensured by an optical reading which provides extreme precision as well as excellent linearity.
Everything is connected using our lightest cable in its class. Finally, the GND 10 module makes it possible to share information from the wind vane with all the NMEA 2000 devices connected to the network. With GND 10 you can connect a Garmin plotter with all Nexus instruments, and vice versa.
