Description
New universal monitoring and alarms solution for boats, capable of monitoring any parameter on the boat's NMEA 2000 network (engine or generator data such as temperature or pressure, navigation data such as depth, position, AIS, speed, wind , … Or even the status of simple connected devices, such as pumps and switches.Custom alarms can be set and NavAlert will emit audible and visual alarms and log data and alerts.
Connects anywhere on the NMEA 2000 network and also feeds from the NMEA 2000 network, so installation is easy. A WiFi local network is created by NavAlert, so that the configuration and setting of alarms is possible via any phone, tablet or PC. Just choose the parameter you want to monitor and set an alarm. It is possible to monitor several parameters. NavAlert offers audible alerts through the device as well as through an external alarm supplied with the device.
Alerts are also relayed over the NMEA 2000 network and displayed as a window on compatible multifunction displays such as those from Garmin. There is also a dedicated MOB (man overboard) function where a simple switch can activate a synthetic AIS MOB message on the network allowing connected devices and plotters to receive the man overboard alarm.
Integrated with NavAlert, an anchor alarm that uses an algorithm to calculate the optimum drift radius based on the depth and extent of the chain. There is also an anti-collision alarm based on CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to closest point of approach) data from a connected AIS. These anchor and anti-collision alarms can also be monitored via the NavAlert interface with attractive graphical displays.
The alarms can also generate an SMS message which can be relayed by Digital Yacht's 4GXtream internet solution, allowing remote monitoring – ideal for ensuring the boat is anchored during lunch ashore.
NavAlert is universal, it uses the standard NMEA 2000 data protocol and will therefore integrate with all major brands and systems.
