Description

Stripper for paints, antifoulings and varnishes on wood, metal and gelcoat.

Marine Strip is ideal for stripping woodstains, varnishes, paints (e.g. Dilunett) and antifoulings.

  • Strips effortlessly by simply rinsing with water.
  • Works on its own, without scraping, simply by rinsing.
  • Does not attack plastics, rubber, synthetic coatings or gelcoats.

Marine Strip antifouling stripper properties:

  • Solvent- and paraffin-free gel. Non-flammable. Non-sagging. Suitable for vertical and horizontal surfaces.
  • Makes old coatings water-soluble (rinse with water), eliminates tedious scraping.
  • Effective, removing up to 8 coats of paint in a single application (leave to act for several hours).
  • Easy to use, works on its own even in the most difficult-to-reach places.
  • Does not evaporate or dry.

  • Can be used on wood**, metal** and gelcoat.
  • allows total wood stripping** as it also eliminates impregnated wood stains.
  • ** Excludes oak, chestnut, red cedar, marquetry and aluminum.

  • Strips varnishes, woodstains, fat-based paints, glycerophthalic/alkyd paints, alkyd urethanes and antifoulings.
  • Unsuitable and ineffective on two-component, epoxy, polyurethane and fast-drying finishes.

Recommendations before use :

  • Use outdoors, as it requires rinsing with plenty of water.
  • Always carry out a preliminary test on a small surface.
  • Apply MARINE STRIP with a nylon brush or paper sizing brush.
  • Wear rubber gloves, adequate protection and goggles. Caution: this product can cause skin burns and serious eye damage.
  • Action time may vary from 15 minutes to 12 hours, depending on the type of coating and the number of coats to be removed. Check its action with a spatula.
  • As stripping is never neutral, on absorbent surfaces (wood) always neutralize with DECK CLEANER.

How to apply Marine Strip antifouling stripper?

Dangerous. Observe safety precautions.

  • Apply a thick coat of MARINE STRIP to the entire surface to be stripped.
  • Allow product to act.
  • If dry, reactivate with a fine spray of water.
  • When the coating is ready to be removed, rinse with a jet of water while brushing (synthetic brush) or with a high-pressure cleaner (max. 50 bar).
  • On wet wood, immediately after rinsing, neutralize with DECK CLEANER. If necessary, lightly sand dry wood (max. 100 grit) to level the surface before refinishing. The use of hot water makes it easier to remove the coating.

  • Application temperature +5°,C to +30°,C
  • Coverage per coat 4 m²,/l
