The Garmin GPSMAP 1222XSV is a GPS handset with a 12' touch screen. Supplied without sensor.12'' high resolution touch screen. NMEA 0183/2000® compatible for connection to a wide range of sensors and instruments such as autopilots, digital switching, FUSION-Link, VHF, AIS, etc. Garmin Network allows sounder data (including Panoptix™) cartography, radar, IP cameras as well as user data to be shared between multiple devices. Compatible with Garmin Network and NMEA 0183/2000, the GPSMAP 1222XSV can be connected to a wide variety of additional instruments and sensors to take advantage of additional functions directly from your device's screen. Share fishfinder data (including Panoptix), map information, IP video camera images and user data between devices via the Garmin Network. Compatibility with NMEA 0183/2000 standards means you can connect to an autopilot, VHF, AIS module, FUSION-Link audio system and more.
The GPSMAP 1222XSV has built-in Wi-Fi® connectivity
Enjoy built-in Wi-Fi with BlueChart Mobile 2.0 and Garmin Helm applications. With Garmin Helm, view and control your compatible tracker from a smartphone or tablet running Android or iOS. With BlueChart Mobile 2.0, a free app available from the App Store™, you can get reliable weather information for route planning on your iPad® or iPhone®, before transferring it to your compatible Garmin plotter via the wireless connection. You can even control a VIRB action cam and stream video from your camera from your chartplotter screen.
Built-in ANT® connectivity
Take advantage of built-in ANT wireless connectivity to sync your Quatix® marine GPS watch, Garmin Nautix™ goggle displays, or gWind™ Wireless 2 wind vane with your GPSMAP 1222XSV handset.
The ANT connection also allows you to control your device remotely with the GPSMAP wireless remote control.
The GPSMAP 1222XSV has an integrated Sounder module
The GPSMAP 1222XSV has an integrated CHIRP 1kW sounder module. It can operate any low, medium or high-frequency CHIRP sounder. The GPSMAP 1222XSV is also compatible with ClearVü CHIRP scanning sounder technology, for a near-photographic quality display of everything going on under the boat's hull. Finally, it is compatible with Panoptix technology, which provides an ultra-detailed, real-time view of what's going on beneath the surface (sold separately). GPSMAP lets you share fishfinder data with other devices on the network.
Ten-times-per-second heading and position refresh
Fast and responsive, the built-in 10Hz GPS receiver updates heading and position data ten times per second for smoother screen refreshes. This means you can mark up to 5,000 waypoints with pinpoint accuracy so you can easily return to them at a later date.

Quickdraw Contours is a free, easy-to-use feature already installed on your Garmin device. It lets you instantly create your own HD fishing maps with 30cm (1ft) contours. You can customise them to suit your every need. After all, they're your charts. You can keep your data to yourself or share it with the Quickdraw community on Garmin Connect™. No topographical expertise is required. You just fish, while the software creates your maps. No need to wait or send your files as you would with other mapping software , your results appear instantly. You can use it with any Garmin Panoptix™ or HD-ID™ transducer, any Garmin ClearVü™ transducer equipped with CHIRP technology or any NMEA 2000® network compatible depth sounder. At the same time, the SailAssist functions include a display of laylines, a compass rose with simultaneous display of true and apparent wind, a display of tracked and true course and much more.
