Designed to let you move around freely on board and navigate with confidence, the Garmin OnBoard&trade, system uses wireless beacons instead of conventional kill cords, and integrates with your compatible Garmin plotter.
-Captain beacon: Detection of a falling Captain MOB beacon causes the engine to shut down, a MOB waypoint to be displayed on the plotter and an audible alarm to sound on the hub and multifunction displays.
-Passenger beacon: Detection of a falling MOB Passenger beacon causes a MOB waypoint to be displayed on the multifunction displays and an audible alarm to sound on the hub and multifunction displays.
-Circuit-breaker system: If a captain's beacon triggers a MOB event, the system cuts engine power to allow the captain to re-board.
-Captain or passenger beacons: Via the Garmin plotter interface, you can assign each beacon the role of Captain or Passenger, which determines its action in the event of a MOB event.
-Waypoints: When a MOB beacon is associated with your compatible Garmin chartplotter, a waypoint is automatically marked where it has lost connection with the boat.
-Portable MOB beacons are part of a wireless MOB system that lets you move around freely while staying protected.
