KEY FEATURES of the DIGITAL YACHT AIT 1500-USB / NMEA0183 Transponder
The AIT 1500 integrates a high sensitivity GPS antenna in its compact housing which saves a bulky antenna and makes installation faster. This product is ideal on small vessels. It uses a NMEA 0183 interface which allows simple connection to the vast majority of AIS compatible chartplotters and has a separate 4800 baud GPS data output for VHF DSC if required as well. The AIT 1500 consumes less than 2W and can operate on 12 / 24V. It also has a silent capability for AIS transmissions and transmissions can be muted while still receiving AIS traffic.
There is also a USB interface to configure the transponder but also to use the data on the PC / MAC navigation software. This product is also compatible with Digital Yacht's Nav Link Mac and SmarterTrack Pc application.
GPS signals will pass through plastic, glass and fiberglass so it can be mounted under the decks of many boats. A dedicated VHF antenna (not supplied) is required for the AIS or Antenna Splitter.
