Glomex VHF antenna configurator - Step 1/4
The Step 1/4 of the Glomex VHF antenna configurator is the first selection step designed to help you put together a complete antenna package. It allows you to choose the whip suited to your type of craft and your sailing program.
The 4-step Glomex configurator then guides you to the compatible cable (step 2), connector (step 3) and mount (step 4).

Choosing the antenna
- Sailboats: short fiberglass whip (1 m) at masthead
- Motorboats: 1.5 to 2.4 m whip on antenna mast
- Yachts: high quality long fiber whip (RA1225 for example)
Tips for use
First define the installation position (masthead, balcony, antenna mast) before choosing the whip length. The higher the whip, the greater the VHF range (law of optical range).
