Rubber mooring line shock absorbers
UNIMER's range of classic mooring rope shock absorbers enables all yachtsmen and sports sailors to protect their boat's mooring ropes by limiting shock loads and rope wear.
The brand's reputation for designing products for the nautical world is well established.
Boat mooring damper in EPDM rubber:
- High tensile strength
- Excellent resistance to weathering, ozone and seawater.
- No noise even in heavy swells.
Rubber shock absorbers availablefor various rope diameters:
- 10 to 12 mm, 12 to 16 mm, 14 to 18 mm and 20 to 24 mm.
- Be sure to check the rope size before selecting the standard UNIMER mooring damper.
How to install a mooring damper? :
- A mooring line shock absorber is installed at the end of each mooring line that will be attached to the bitt or to a mooring ring.
- The end of the rope wraps two or three turns around the mooring line. The more turns, the greater the protection of the mooring line. When the swell is high, the shock absorber tightens the mooring line.
- Without a shock absorber, the mooring line wears out more quickly, as it is subjected to a constant effort of resistance against the swell to stabilize the boat as best it can.
