The GO9 XSE offers true ease of use with intuitive touchscreen controls that smartphone and tablet users are already familiar with. Tap to create or select waypoints, close or spread your fingers to zoom in or out, or tap and drag to pan smoothly across your maps. Thanks to the simple home screen and menus, all functions are quickly accessible, with large, clearly labelled icons that are easy to recognise and use.
Chartplotter navigation and waypoint management
The GO9 XSE is a full-featured chartplotter, supporting the widest range of mapping options, including C-MAP® MAX-N, Navionics®, Insight®, Insight Genesis® and NV Digital® charts. Navigate with confidence to any destination, with the ability to choose the maps best suited to your needs and location. Set and save destinations easily with simple waypoint management: touch waypoints to select them, and give them meaningful names to make finding your destination easier, whether you've stored ten or a thousand.
Fully customisable interface
The Simrad GO9 XSE is fully customisable to your boat type and your preferred water activities (powerboating, fishing or watersports). Personalise your home screen with shortcuts to the functions you use most frequently, and choose your background. With adjustable split-screen views and a customisable panel layout, you have access to all the information you need on the screen at once, whatever you're doing.

Designed with powerboating enthusiasts in mind, TripIntel technology tracks and displays the key information you need to plan safe and enjoyable days on the water. Make the right decisions with map displays of how far you can travel with fuel remaining, easy access to current and tidal forecasts, and a detailed history of your previous trips, including routes taken and boat performance.
Integrated 10Hz GPS receiver*
With a high-speed GPS receiver that updates your position ten times per second, the Simrad GO9 XSE is ideal for use on semi-rigid inflatables and fast powerboats. Your boat's movements are tracked smoothly and accurately in real time, with no 'jerking' from one point to another on the screen.
Cruise Charting View
Designed with powerboating in mind, the Simrad GO9 XSE features a special Cruise Charting page that centralises crucial navigation data and maps on one easy-to-read screen. Choose the information that's most relevant to your sailing style and activities, and edit the on-screen data as required.
NMEA 2000® engine monitoring and instrumentation
The Simrad GO9 XSE connects to any NMEA 2000® compatible equipment on board your boat, including inboard and outboard engines, fuel level gauges and flow meters, speed, heading and water temperature sensors, and more. Create your own custom digital instrument displays to bring maximum information to the busiest dashboards, while displaying a minimum of gauges for a tidy control station.
Monitor your depth with the built-in depth sounder
Knowing the true depth beneath your hull means you can enjoy your day's sailing with greater peace of mind. It's also easier to find suitable moorings in unfamiliar waters. With the built-in transducer, all you have to do is add the right transducer to get accurate, real-time depth monitoring. A depth history view lets you easily track and set waypoints for the best moorings.
Navigate with confidence with ForwardScan™
Using an optional ForwardScan probe, this forward-looking probe technology provides a clear, two-dimensional image of the bottom stretching out in front of your boat, allowing you to navigate poorly charted areas or shallow waters with confidence. With real-time updates and a forward-looking view of up to 8 times the current depth, ForwardScan lets you relax and enjoy greater safety on the water.

Whether you're a professional or amateur angler, your fishing trip will be optimised with the wide choice of integrated transducer technologies on the Simrad GO9 XSE. Simrad SonicHub®2 and Bluetooth® audio integration
If all you need is some good music to make you feel at home, the Simrad SonicHub®2 marine audio system integrates perfectly with the GO9 XSE. Stream music from your tablets, smartphones and other Bluetooth® mobile devices, play MP3 files from a USB stick, or listen to the SonicHub 2's built-in AM/FM radio. SonicHub 2 gives you complete control over your music on the GO9 XSE System. No need for an on-board stereo to listen to your music the way you like it.
GoFree™ cloud-based system with built-in Wi-Fi
Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, the Simrad GO9 XSE system offers direct access to GoFree cloud-based services, allowing you to download maps, software updates and more easily and wirelessly. Whether you're connected to home Wi-Fi from your boat towed in front of your house, connected to marina Wi-Fi, or to your smartphone on the water, you can access GoFree services in the Cloud wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection. On the water, GoFree connects the Simrad GO9 XSE to your mobile devices, mirroring your screen on your smartphone or using the free GoFree Controller app for full remote control on a tablet.
* The built-in GPS receiver can be installed using a mounting bracket or flush-mounted in most fibreglass hulls. When flush-mounted in a boat with a metal hull, an external GPS receiver, such as the Simrad GS25, may be required.
